- PhD Candidate in Criminology, The University of Melbourne
Caitlin has almost completed her PhD in Criminology at the University of Melbourne.
Her thesis explored the intersections between CCTV, perceptions of risk and safety, and violence against women. More broadly, her research interests are in surveillance, and other themes of strengthening urban governance.
She has published other work on domestic drone use, the use of surveillance in major city events, and the role of social media in responding to crime.
Caitlin is a member of: the Research Unit in Public Cultures Graduate Academy at The University of Melbourne; the Urban Environments Research Network; the Surveillance Studies Network; and the Law, Literature & the Humanities Association of Australasia.
