Brurce Muhammad Mecca

Brurce is currently a PhD Student at Monash University based in Indonesia. He is also a co-founder of Lestari Advisors, a mission-oriented advisory firm working on enabling the ecosystem for sustainable finance mobilization in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia. He had worked as Senior Analyst at Climateworks Centre, a think tank under Monash University in Australia.

Brurce works at the intersection of policy, science, and action; focusing on how to improve policy and institutional coherence for sustaining green industrialization in Indonesia. Passionate about social justice, he is also experienced in advocating for oversight systems that ensure the environmental and social integrity of investments across the financial systems.

Brurce graduated with a Master’s in Environmental Science from Yale University School of the Environment in the US and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia. He is also a 2023 Yale Climate Fellow.
