Bruno Bizzozero Peroni

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society and the Aging Research Center (ARC) at Karolinska Institutet. I work within the Multidimensional Health in Old Age research group led by Amaia Calderón-Larrañaga, and the Cardiovascular and Psychosocial Health in Resilience and Healthy Brain Aging research group led by Chengxuan Qiu.

My research focuses on the epidemiology of lifestyle factors in relation to cardiometabolic, mental, and neurocognitive health. I have contributed to large-scale systematic reviews and population-based studies in lifestyle epidemiology and global health.

My research area is life-course epidemiology, where I focus on the role of lifestyle factors in cardiometabolic, mental, and neurocognitive health. My research focuses on identifying modifiable determinants of cardiometabolic risk factors, mental health conditions, and neurocognitive disorders, and quantifying their population-level impact to inform public health prevention strategies.

By applying quantitative epidemiological methods (e.g., longitudinal analyses, systematic reviews, meta-analyses), I aim to advance understanding of how lifestyle-related exposures shape cardiometabolic, mental, and neurocognitive health trajectories at the population level.
