Bronwyn is an anthropologist specialising in the intersections of visual media, national identity and labour with a geographic focus in the Asia Pacific. Currently, Bronwyn is investigating media and film production in New Zealand, with a focus on technological change, and the cultural politics of content production and ownership.
Bronwyn’s previous research draws on ethnographic methods to examine contemporary global challenges, including health inequalities, food systems, rural livelihoods, digital media economies, labour markets, censorship, and advertising.
