Dr Brittany Ferdinands is a lecturer in Digital Content Creation at the University of Sydney and a content creator herself. Her research explores the intersections of social media, influencer culture, audience engagement, and the evolving dynamics of digital labour. With a focus on the social media economy, she is particularly interested in how platform vernaculars, algorithmic visibility, and participatory cultures shape contemporary communication practices both online and in industry.
