Bridgette Glover

Bridgette Glover is an early-career researcher and sessional academic in Media and Communications and Writing at the University of New England, Australia. Her PhD research explored representations of menstruation in screen media, with a focus on menstrual stigma, intersectional feminism and human rights. Bridgette has published on film and television texts such as Broad City and Barbie, and her work on I Love Dick and Saltburn is featured in a forthcoming edited collection. She has presented her research at conferences for critical menstruation studies, screen studies and writing studies. Bridgette is currently working on a monograph for Bloomsbury Academic about menstruation in popular media, exploring contemporary screen media's activist potential in combatting stigma.
