I am a Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. I received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 2010 and my research focuses on the labor market impacts of international trade, migration, and technological change. My research has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies, the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, The Review of Economics and Statistics, and Demography. I am a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a Research Fellow of IZA, and am an Editor at the Journal of Labor Economics. In 2014 I was awarded the IZA Young Labor Economist Award for the best peer-reviewed journal publication in labor economics by authors under age 40, and in 2019 I was awarded a Carnegie Fellowship.
