Brett is a First Nations Wiradjuri man, a graduate of UTS Law with 1st class honours, former Sir Gerard Brennan Scholar at UTS, admitted lawyer and Doctor of Philosophy, in the Law Faculty. Brett undertakes decolonising research, encompassing First Nations law, rights, health, sovereignty, and developing innovative First Nations methodologies which privilege Indigenous Knowledge. Brett has primarily worked in the business sector; his legal experience has been with government agencies and NFP organisations primarily delivering legal services to marginalised clients. Brett has also worked as a researcher for Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research at UTS and is a Lecturer in the UTS Law Faculty.
