- Lecturer in Security and Public Policy, University of Bath
I am currently a Lecturer in the Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies at the University of Bath.
I have worked on a number of projects which have examined the implications of biological and chemical innovation for international security. Most recently, this has included the Biochemical Security 2030 Project (biochemsec2030.org). I also worked as a Wellcome funded research fellow at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology in 2013.
In 2014 I completed a PhD on the governance of the security implications of cutting-edge biotechnology. I hold an MA in Biotechnological Law and Ethics (University of Sheffield, 2009) and have a dual undergraduate background in Biology and Politics (Aston University, 2008).
I work a range of international security, taboo weapon and responsible innovation issues.
