- Assistant professor of psychology and education, University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation, and Human Services at the University of Wisconsin–Stout, where I teach and advise in the School Psychology program. I am a licensed school psychologist with professional and scholarly expertise in K–12 education, behavioral interventions, discipline practices, multi-level systems of support/RTI, PBIS, special education, and the use of artificial intelligence in schools.
My current research focuses on the role and impact of generative artificial intelligence in K–12 public education, including how educators, administrators, technology staff, and licensed support personnel are using AI tools, how districts are developing policies and restrictions, and what training and ethical considerations are emerging as schools respond to AI adoption. I have recently completed a two-phase survey study examining these issues, beginning with a Wisconsin-focused phase and followed by an exploratory national phase.
