Dr. Callahan is a Canada Research Chair and clinical neuropsychologist with subspecialty training in age-related disorders of cognition (such as dementia). Broadly, her work aims to understand how aging and mental illness interact to impact brain health. Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and how it affects memory and other thinking skills older adults, is strong focus of her current research program. She incorporates multiple techniques to answer these questions, including cognitive testing and biomarkers such as neuroimaging and genetic testing.
