Ir. Bram Servais is a biosystems engineer with industry, start-up, and academic experience in microfluidics, microfabrication and drug screening. He has focused on translation of devices that leverage human-derived cells to create tissue models mimicking real human physiology. His lifelong passion for this field, often called organ-on-a-chip, has allowed him to work at prestigious institutions such as KU Leuven, the Flemish Institute for Biotechnology, imec (the largest microelectronics research centre in Europe), ETH Zurich and, more recently the University of Melbourne and Cortical Labs.
