Dr Boram Lee is a Senior Lecturer in Festival and Event Management at Adelaide University. Her interdisciplinary research examines arts and cultural management, cultural diversity and representation, festival and event management, arts governance and accountability, artists’ careers and labour markets. Her work is particularly concerned with how cultural organisations and institutions can support more inclusive participation, leadership and sustainable careers for artists and culturally diverse communities.

Her academic background spans behavioural finance, accounting and finance, and arts and cultural management, enabling her to bring psychological, organisational and cross-cultural perspectives to the study of cultural and creative industries. She has led and contributed to research and international engagement projects across Australia, Asia, Europe and Latin America, including projects on Asian Australian artists, disability arts, cultural governance, festivals, creative careers and cultural resilience.

She was a recipient of the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council Cultural Value Project Research Development Grant and has undertaken research supported by Australian and international funding bodies. Prior to her academic career, she managed international tours for theatre companies, worked as a festival producer, and participated in visual arts projects. Her long-standing professional engagement with theatre, festivals and the visual arts continues to inform her research, teaching and industry collaboration.
