I graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law in 2021 from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. My doctoral thesis was titled: “An Afrocentric approach to CRISPR-Cas9: Analysing the use of genetic technologies in human reproduction through the lens of human rights and African values”. My doctoral research was funded by National Research Foundation grant no: 116275.
