Bingbing Zhang

Bingbing Zhang (PhD, Pennsylvania State University) is an assistant professor at the University of Iowa in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Her current research areas include media effects, political communication, health, and science communication. She specializes in studying the effects of visual content on audiences’ perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors using quantitative methods including experiment, survey, and content analysis. Her work has been published in flagship journals, including Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, International Journal of Press/Politics, Information, Communication, and Society, Journal of Health Communication, among other peer-reviewed journals.
