Betsy Donald is Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning, Queen's University. Dr. Donald studies economic geography with a focus on regional economic development, urban governance, and sustainable food systems. She is an award-winning teacher, having taught hundreds of students at the undergraduate and graduate level and supervised postdocs, Ph.Ds and masters students. She currently has active research projects with colleagues at the University of Cambridge and the Munk School for Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Dr. Donald is a co-editor of the highly ranked Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society. She has been the lead principal investigator on several SSHRC-funded research projects and won awards for her research. She has held visiting academic positions at the universities of Cambridge, Harvard, and Kwansei Gakuin in Japan.
