Bethany is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Institute of Zoology (Zoological Society of London) employing structured decision making to aid conservation efforts, with a focus on red squirrels in England. Bethany's PhD, conducted at Nottingham Trent University, was on the ecological effects of using livestock guarding dogs. Before starting her PhD, Bethany completed a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and an MRes in Ecology, Evolution & Conservation from Imperial College London. In addition to her PhD research, Beth is part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers who are developing passive acoustic monitoring techniques to track vocal wildlife species such as wolves, coyotes and gibbons.
