Bethany Allen

Bethany is a postdoctoral researcher at GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences, Germany, working on the coevolution of landforms and the biosphere. She competed her PhD at the University of Leeds, UK, on global biogeography across the end-Permian mass extinction event, and previously was a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zürich, Switzerland, applying methods for investigating past diversity change using phylogenies. More broadly, Bethany's research interests centre around understanding biodiversity and its drivers on geological time scales.
