Beth Johnson is Professor of Television and Media Studies at the University of Leeds. Her research focuses on television production and representation, intersectional inequalities in screen industries, social class, and television policy. She leads the AHRC-funded project What’s On? Rethinking Class in the Television Industry (2023–2026), working across production, audience, and textual analysis. She also serves as EDI Director for her faculty, contributing to diversity and inclusion in academic and media sectors.
