Benjamin Kucher

Benjamin Kucher is a Métis scholar and graduate student in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alberta. His research focuses on Métis archaeology, trade beads, and Indigenous data sovereignty, emphasizing community-led approaches to history and material culture. He has also worked extensively on projects related to the search for unmarked graves at former residential school sites, advocating for Indigenous sovereignty, truth, and accountability in this ongoing work of remembrance and justice.
