Benjamin H. Bradlow is a Lecturer on Sociology at Harvard University, and an affiliate of the Research Cluster on Comparative Inequality and Inclusion at Harvard's Weatherhead Center For International Affairs. His current book project, under contract with Princeton University Press, compares the divergent politics of urban public goods distribution — housing, sanitation, and transportation — in two mega-cities after transitions to democracy: Johannesburg, South Africa, and São Paulo, Brazil. The dissertation version of this manuscript received awards from multiple sections of the American Sociological Association and the Latin American Studies Association. His research articles have been published in Social Forces, Theory and Society, City & Community, International Journal of Urban & Regional Research, International Development Planning Review, and Environment & Urbanization.
