Dr Ben Roberts is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at Loughborough University. His research focuses on building performance measurement and environmental modelling, specifically examining how to improve thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and public health in a warming climate.

Dr Roberts has led major research initiatives investigating indoor overheating and the transmission of airborne pathogens in both the UK and tropical climates like Ghana. He is a UK Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government Registered Specialist and was an Expert Advisor on Overheating for the Health & Safety Executive. He is a recipient of both the CIBSE Carter Medal and CIBSE Dufton Medal for research into healthy indoor environments.
