Ben is a paediatrician working the Children's Hospital Westmead. He is director of the Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute (Sydney ID) at the University of Sydney. He has wide ranging interests in pathogen evolution and spread. He co-leads the NHMRC centre for research excellence and the WHO collaborating centre in tuberculosis, with professor Greg Fox.
