I am currently pursuing a PhD in planning with a special interest in young adult housing in African cities. My publication on neoliberalism and the production of slums in Accra discovers how housing policy and markets are shaping the contours of the city. An important dimension of housing research which has not been studied is young adults' housing trajectories in African cities. My PhD seeks to examine the housing experience of young adults, their pathways and residential locations in Accra, Ghana with the aim to offer new insights for housing policy planning and housing development. Prior to this, my research focused on the regulation of street vending in Ghana. The outcome of this research is three journal articles under review at reputable academic journals, including the Journal Planning Literature and Journal of Urban Affairs.
I have also worked as a planning practitioner at the municipal level and as a research and project assistant at the International Laboratory of Architecture and Urban Design, ILAUD.
