Barbara Plester

I am Associate Professor in the Department of Management & International Business, University of Auckland Business School. I am also Associate Dean Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for the Business faculty.
My research is in the field of Organisation Studies and specifically I research workplace humour and fun; workplace food rituals; organisational culture and Workplace behaviours related to new technologies and social media.
I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses including management theory and more recently, qualitative research methods.
I have worked at the University of Auckland for 18 years and enjoy my role and working with a variety of interesting and diverse students, colleagues, and industry professionals.
