Dr. Azeb Amha is a researcher at the African Studies Center, Leiden University. Her research interest is in the grammar and language-culture interface in Ethiopian languages. She is currently working on a multi-modal documentation of Zargula, an endangered language in South-west Ethiopia. Azeb's publications include The Maale Language (2001), several articles on the grammar and typology of Omotic languages, and three co-edited books. Since 2006, Azeb is co-editor of the Journal of African Languages and Linguistics.
