Aylin Malcolm

Aylin Malcolm is a scholar of literature, environment, and gender in late medieval and early modern England. Their work asks what imaginative writing can contribute to the history of science, from the twelfth century to the present moment of ecological crisis.

They are writing a book on how experiments with animals and plants shaped medieval views of gender and humanity. They have also published on pre-Copernican astronomy, historical recipe collections, digital editing, and the material forms of books before 1700.
