Dr Asma Aziz is an electrical engineer with over 14 years of experience, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in Power Engineering at the School of Engineering, Edith Cowan University. She is a passionate advocate for innovation in sustainable and smart energy systems, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education, advancing impactful research, and fostering collaborative partnerships between academia and industry.
Her research expertise spans sustainable engineering design, electrical system modeling, renewable energy integration, and energy management. She focuses on enhancing grid reliability through emerging technologies such as energy storage systems and second-life applications for electric vehicle batteries. Asma has led and contributed to several high-impact, industry-focused research projects and has secured significant competitive fundings, notably from iMOVE CRC and CSIRO.
