Arya Assadi Langroudi

I am an Associate Professor in Geomechanics at UEL and Academic Head of Engineering. My research focuses on the micromechanics of clays and granular materials, with particular interest in constitutive models that account for the fractal characteristics of particles, structure-based material response, and the idealisation of pore spaces. The immediate applications of my models lie in next-generation biomimetic ground engineering methods and materials, underpinned by four pillars: sustainability, resilience, responsiveness, and adaptiveness.
