Arthur Stukas

Art Stukas is currently Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) in the School of Psychology and Public Health at La Trobe University. He is a Fellow of the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues. His research interests focus on engagement in volunteerism and community service, the interplay between self-perceptions and social expectations in social interaction and in close relationships, and ways to reduce stigma and prejudice. In collaboration with his students and colleagues, he has written numerous scholarly articles in scientific journals and chapters for relevant books, such as The Oxford Handbook of Prosocial Behavior, Mobilizing Adults for Positive Youth Development, The Handbook of Youth Mentoring, and The Handbook of Consumer Psychology.
