Apostolos Davillas

Apostolos Davillas has spent over eight years in academic positions in the U.K. Among other roles, he has served as an Associate Professor and previously as an Assistant Professor (Scale B) at the University of East Anglia, as well as a tenured Research Fellow at the Institute for Social and Economic Research, the University of Essex.

His research spans a range of topics related to health production functions and human capital theory, the social and economic determinants of health, healthcare demand, utilisation of health services and healthcare costs, the impact of energy deprivation on health and wellbeing outcomes, the economics of obesity, and socioeconomic inequality in health and healthcare. Part of his research focuses on the survey-based measurement of health and the implications of measurement error in health indicators for existing research in (health and labour) economics.
