- Especialista en Análisis de Imagen, University of Copenhagen
I undertook a 4-year undergraduate degree in Physics (with specialization in Nuclear Physics and Elementary Particles) at the National University of Athens, Greece, and I graduated in 2007. During this stage, I was attracted to the field of Medical Physics, thus I did my thesis on animal-SPECT simulation at the lab of Prof. Styliaris. To further enhance my career in Medical Physics, I undertook the MSc in Medical Physics, while I did my thesis on simulation of a dual-headed gamma camera at the lab of Prof. Spyrou. After that, I received training in the Medical Physics area at two of the biggest public hospitals in Athens, Greece and I received the permit of work as a Hospital Medical Physicist in 2011. During this stage, I came across the concept of Image Analysis. In 2012, I was awarded the EC Marie Curie Early Stage Career Fellowship to do a PhD in the field of bright-field microscopy image analysis at the lab of Dr. Jena at the Department of Oncology, University of Cambridge. I was awarded my PhD title in 2016 and I started my post-doctoral position at the lab of Dr. Sarris at the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience. There, I specialized on the analysis of subcellular and motion dynamics of neutrophils in zebrafish. In 2021, I joined the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, as a Specialist in Image Analysis.
