Anthony G. Burton is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam's media studies department and a lecturer in Critical Data & AI working on platform capitalism, computational culture, and the political economy of AI. The author of Algorithmic Authenticity (meson press, 2023), he was a Mellon-SFU Data Fluencies Fellow at the Digital Democracies Institute. His work appears in the International Journal of Communication, Social Media + Society, Theatre Journal, First Monday, and others.
