Dr Anthony English is a political psychologist currently working as post-doctoral research fellow on the OppAttune project. Anthony completed his PhD in 2022 after joining the Open University's School of Psychology as recipient of the Rachael Webb Studentship. The focus of his thesis was dialogically exploring if/how polarised individuals could sustain dialogue discussing UK's post-Brexit European relationship. A latecomer to higher education, Anthony began studying for a BSc in Applied Psychology at Durham University in 2011. Since that time, he has also completed a PGCE in adult learning, and a MSc in Clinical & Forensic Psychology at Newcastle University. Upon completion of his thesis, he lectured at Lancaster University on both personality psychology and research method modules before returning to the OU.
