Anthea Christoforou

Dr. Anthea Christoforou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University. She holds a BSc and BA from Queen’s University and a Master’s in International Public Health from the University of Sydney’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She completed her PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Public Health Nutrition and Nutrition Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. Her research program focuses on the nutrition and health consequences of contemporary diets and food policies, with a strong emphasis on health equity. Her lab investigates how these issues impact diverse population groups across socioeconomic and demographic axes.
