Dr Anne Lane (PhD, BA Hons (1st), BCom) is a researcher and educator at QUT Business School. Anne’s research interests focus on engagement and dialogue, and how organisations use them to navigate the increasingly-complex environments in which they operate. This is becoming more important as organisations seek to engage with their stakeholders in ways that are meaningful and satisfying for all concerned. Her research has been used by public relations practitioners and organisations to better understand the processes and outcomes of stakeholder engagement. Anne’s research experience has extended across multiple organisations in a range of practice contexts including government and the not-for-profit sector. Her research has informed organisational policy, been published in peer-reviewed journals, and been presented at international conferences. Anne has contributed case studies and encyclopedia entries for academic books; and made presentations to non-academic audiences, such as the Queensland Council of Carers, and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
