Anna Ugalde

I lead a research program focused on healthcare equity and access, with an oncology focus. I conduct health services research with an implementation science approach to drive better cancer outcomes.

I am the principal investigator of the ECORRA Program (Equitable Cancer Outcomes across Rural and Remote Australia), which consists of a series of three existing, funding projects aiming to reduce cancer inequities, see: https://ecorra.deakin.edu.au/

My research consists of the coordination of large, transdisciplinary teams across the sector. I partner with government, academics, health services, consumers and community, driving direct health impact. I lead a team of early- and mid- career researchers at various career stages. I have been awarded >$30M of grants and published >130 papers.
