I am an Associate Professor in Health Psychology at the Department of Psychological Medicine. I completed my MSc in Health Psychology at University College London and went on to do a PhD at the University of Melbourne/Murdoch Children's Research Institute, where I developed and tested a coping skills programme for adolescents with type 1 diabetes. After my PhD, I worked on the Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study, where I was based at Helsinki University and later at Columbia University. I joined the University of Auckland in 2016 and my research interests include developing interventions for youth living with chronic health conditions, developing and testing digital wellbeing interventions, positive psychology interventions, and exploring protective psychosocial factors (e.g. optimism, self-compassion, gratitude) and health outcomes.
