Anna M. Kotarba-Morley

Ania is an Underwater and Coastal Archaeologist, Archaeological Scientist and an Ancient Historian. She is a Future Making Fellowship in the Environment Institute at Adelaide University.

Ania has worked as an archaeologist and a cultural heritage and museums expert around the globe on over 60 sites in some 30 countries. Her current research interests revolve around sustainability archaeology, disaster risk management for cultural heritage and climate change adaptations.

Ania also continues her interest in ancient trade and the adaptations of remote communities to changing marginal landscapes. She co-directs a few archaeological projects from the low-lying atolls of Kiribati, Micronesia to the high altitudes of the Indian Himalaya. She is also involved in work with Indigenous communities across Australia.
