Anna Lindley

Anna Lindley is a Reader in Development Studies at SOAS, University of London. Her research focuses on global migration and displacement dynamics, politics and experiences. Particular areas of interest include: diaspora remittances, transnationalism and livelihoods; responses to crisis and displacement; and asylum and immigration in the UK - particularly detention, asylum accommodation, homelessness and housing.

Anna has published in the journals Migration Studies, Journal of Human Rights Practice, Journal of Refugee Studies, Geoforum, Refugee Survey Quarterly, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, African Affairs and Journal of Eastern African Studies, as well as numerous reports and blogs. She is the author of 'The Early Morning Phone Call: Somali Refugees' Remittances' (Berghahn, 2010) and editor of 'Crisis and Migration: Critical Perspectives' (Routledge, 2014). Prior to joining SOAS, she previously worked at the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society and the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford.
