Anita Jack-Davies, PhD

Dr. Anita Jack-Davies is an international Management Consultant, author, speaker and academic. A cross-cultural expert and thought leader, she previously held the roles of Global Culture and Operations lead at R/GA, a large Manhattan-based marketing firm and Deputy Chief Diversity Officer at Skidmore College.

Dr. Jack-Davies earned a PhD in urban teacher education, with a concentration on cultural and policy studies from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She has taught in the areas of feminist pedagogies, Black feminisms and race and racism. As Management Consultant, she provided strategic planning, change management and programming support to federal agencies in Canada including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Global Affairs Canada, Corrections Canada and the Privy Council, the central agency of the Government of Canada.

Dr. Jack-Davies is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Urban Planning at Queen’s University and has appeared widely in the media discussing diversity in the workplace. She is the author of the much anticipated title, Lawrencia’s Last Parang: A Memoir On Loss and Belonging as a Black Woman in Canada (Inanna, 2023).
