Aniruddha Saha

Aniruddha Saha is currently a Junior Research Fellow in Politics at St. John’s College, University of Oxford. He received his PhD in War Studies from King’s College London in 2024. His doctoral thesis examined India’s nuclear relationship with the United States through approaches in international norms, identities, and stigmatization.

Aniruddha is also part of the Beyond Nuclear Deterrence working group, hosted by the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard University, and funded by the MacArthur Foundation. As part of this working group, he is studying whether the Indian nuclear case could serve as a relatable case to the ongoing US and European negotiations in halting Iranian nuclear ambitions.

Aniruddha also serves as the co-convenor of the Global Nuclear Order working group as part of the British International Studies Association. His peer-reviewed works have appeared or are forthcoming in the Journal of Global Security Studies, International Studies Quarterly, India Review, and Strategic Analysis. He has also authored op-eds in The Duck of Minerva, OpenDemocracy, E-International Relations, and The Quint.
