- PhD student in Plant Biology, University of Sheffield
Biology enthusiast, with wide-ranging interests from anatomy to zoology.
My PhD research aims to answer the question "Why do some plants grow faster than others?". I manipulate environmental conditions and quantify the effects on barley growth, in the framework of plant source-sink interactions. My research takes place at the University of Sheffield (UK) and Brookhaven National Lab (NY, USA).
Before starting my PhD I worked on wheat photosynthesis at CSIRO (Canberra, AU) and NIAB (Cambridge, UK).
I have a keen interest in science communication and science policy. I contribute to this blog: http://www.sheffieldscienceinpolicy.com/blog.html
