Andrew Wilkins is Senior Lecturer in Education Studies at the University of East London. His research focuses on theories and practices of statecraft, statehood and state power in the context of studies of educational governance. He is a member of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Peer Review College, Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), co-convenor of the BERA SIG Social Theory and Education, and Associate of the Robert Owen Centre for Educational Change, University of Glasgow. His most recent publication is Modernising School Governance: Corporate Planning and Expert Handling in State Education (2016, Routledge).
