My broad research interest is investigating the impact of sleep disorders and sleep loss on neurobehavioral consequences related to daytime functional performance and accident risk. My current focus is the exploration of novel measures of sleepiness (or sleepiness “biomarkers”) that may be useful in predicting individual's neurobehavioral response to sleep loss and obstructive sleep apnea, thereby helping to better characterise the risk of performance failure (e.g. car crash).
