Dr. Andrew Maxwell is a leading expert in technology entrepreneurship, innovation management, and research commercialization, with a unique background spanning academia, industry, and public policy. As Bergeron Chair in Technology Entrepreneurship at York University’s Lassonde School of Engineering, he integrates research, experiential education, and institutional leadership to drive innovation in engineering education and early-stage venture creation. His award-winning work—recognized by the Academy of Management (Heizer Award), Ontario's Minister of Colleges and Universities, and York University—focuses on enhancing decision-making under uncertainty, fostering entrepreneurial mindsets, and reducing barriers to the adoption of disruptive technologies. Dr. Maxwell is also the founding director of the Manufacturing Technology and Entrepreneurship Centre (MTEC), Principal Investigator on multi-million-dollar commercialization projects, and a frequent speaker, advisor, and editor in the global innovation community. He welcomes opportunities to contribute thought leadership, expert commentary, and evidence-based insights on technology entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems and policy, technology transfer and research commercialization, and the future of engineering education.
