Andrew completed his Ph.D. at the Australian National University (ANU). His research focus was a theoretical perspective known as the ‘social identity approach’. This theoretical perspective provides insight to many topics relevant to social change and social issues; topics like leadership, influence, motivation, intergroup conflict, stereotyping, etc.

Andrew is currently a Teaching Fellow at the Strategic Defence Studies Centre, ANU. His chief responsibility is teaching organisational behavior at the Australian Command and Staff College.
