Ana Stevenson is the Senior Advisor – Research and Evaluation at Anglicare Southern Queensland, with honorary roles as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Heritage and Culture at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and a Research Fellow in the International Studies Group at the University of the Free State, South Africa. Her research as a feminist historian spans transnational social movements across the nineteenth to the twenty-first century, from abolitionism and women's suffrage to anti-apartheid and women's liberation.

Her first book, The Woman as Slave in Nineteenth-Century American Social Movements (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019), appeared with the Palgrave Studies in the History of Social Movements. With Alana Piper, she co-edited Gender Violence in Australia: Historical Perspectives (Monash University Publishing, 2019).
