Amanda Tattersall is an Associate Professor of Practice in Urban Geography. She is a globally recognised writer and practitioner exploring social change strategy and community-led research methods.
Her recent books include Conscious Tribes: Thinking Differently about Making a Difference (2026), People Power in Cities (2006, with Kurt Iveson)
She is the Academic Chair of the Real Deal project that develops place-based solutions to climate transition. She is also an experienced civil society leader. Amanda co-founded GetUp, founded Sydney Alliance and has long been involved in community organising in Australia.
