- Professor Of Behavioural Ecology, Bournemouth University
I'm a Behavioural Ecologist mostly studying primates but interested in all tropical mammals. I've worked in Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Uganda, The Gambia, and Cost-Rica. I now lead the interdisciplinary collaborative programme LEAP: Landscape Ecology and Primatology.
I am interested in the a wide range of subjects. Mostly related to tropical ecosystems and primates. Research topics include: I. How climate and human disturbance influence primate distribution patterns and survival; II. Eco-tourism, conservation, and human-wildlife conflicts; III. The evolution of mating strategies and female sexual signals, esp. in red colobus monkeys.
